Thurston County in Washington Has Made Its Choice

OLYMPIA – August 8, 2018

Primary and special election took place in Thurston County in the state of Washington, local media reports.

Thurstonians chose Jaime Herrera Beutler as the preferred Republican candidate for the 3rd Congressional district (40,9 % of votes), and Democrat Denny Heck won the election in the 10th Congressional District (59,7 %).

More than a half of locals chose Maria Cantwell  (from Democratic party) for U.S. senate (55,5 %).

Interesting, Bud Blake from the Independent party won the nomination for Thurston County commissioner for the 3rd District, earning 34,4 % and beating Tye Menser from the Democratic party by a 2 percent margin.
