Rochester Anti-Gun Mayor Illegally Possess 2 Guns: Police Seized Guns After Found Mayor’s Husband High on Cocaine
Rochester's mayor Lovely Warren, steeped in investigations, is caught up in another scandal. After police found her husband high on cocaine in his own car, the prosecutor forced a search of Mayor Warren's home, where a pistol and an assault rifle were found.
Mayor Lovely Warren is a staunch supporter of American disarmament, yet she allowed herself and her husband, previously convicted of armed robbery about 30 years ago, to have firearms in the house.
As part of her service to the city, Warren announced the buyback of the firearms.
“Our residents can feel safe in their neighborhoods and live the lives they deserve,” she stated and offered to buyback pistols for 150 dollars and “assault” weapons for 250 dollars.
To date, it is not known whether the weapons were legally acquired by the mayor, in defiance of her anti-gun policy, or if her husband illegally kept the weapons in the house, secretly from his wife.
In addition to the recent incident, Lovely Warren is already indicted on felony campaign finance fraud charges and awaiting her own trial. While running for re-election.
