BREAKING: Shooting in New York Hospital, a Man Shot His Wife and Committed Suicide
VALHALLA, NEW YORK — August 8, 2018
Police are responding to an incident at Westchester Medical Center. It happened today at 9:30 a.m. The police are at the scene and investigating the incident. The law enforcement agencies combing a wide area around the building.
A police conducted a floor-by-floor search of the building.
Unconfirmed reports indicate the unknown man opened fire on the fourth floor of the hospital. He first shot his wife who was a patient of the medical center and then committed suicide.
Sources said the medical center was locked down while authorities responded to the scene.

The Westchester Medical Center is located about 30 miles North of New York City in Westchester County.
If the information is confirmed, it will be the second such incident in the hospital in New York. In June 2017, a doctor and former Bronx-Lebanon Hospital employee entered the hospital with an AR-15 rifle and opened fire on people. As a result, he killed a doctor, injured five members of the medical staff and a patient before the committing suicide.
