California mother baked 3-year-old baby in her car while tended to marijuana plants
The mother, Eustajia Mojica Dominguez is arrested on suspicion of the manslaughter of her own 3-year-old daughter. According to the results of preliminary investigation, Jessica Campos spent at least three hours in a hot, locked car until she was found and an ambulance was called.
“Once Fire Department and ambulance personnel arrived on scene, they took over life saving measures. Jessica was transported by ambulance to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased,” the police said.
The incident took place on Thursday. Dominguez left the baby to go to the marijuana home. Police found 475 pounds of treated pot and 150 plants in the house. By law, it is allowed to grow no more than six plants.
In addition to drugs, there were 4 more adults and 4 children in the house. Children were turned over to child welfare services. Adults were charged with child endangerment. 28-year-old Eustajia Mojica Dominguez was charged with involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment in connection with her daughter’s death, the police said.
“Four other children, ages 15,11, and two that were 9 months old, were found at the residence. They were all turned over to Child Welfare Services,” the press release says.
