Fake reporter infiltrated conference to thank Kamala Harris
Kamala Harris's security team screwed up at a recent press conference in Mexico City. One of the reporters was a certain Maria Fernanda Reyes, who complimented the Vice President of the United States, but is not a reporter.
"Thank you Madame Vice President, for me it's an honor because I actually got to vote for the first time as a nationalized [sic] citizen. I voted for you," Fernanda said.
After the fake reporter claimed she was an employee of Univision, Daniel Coronell, the President of Univision News quickly announced that the woman had nothing to do with the company.
In Mexico an individual which has no association with @Univision claimed to be a reporter for @UniNoticias in order to ask the @VP a question and to compliment @KamalaHarris. Let it be clear to everyone that Ms. Maria Fernanda Reyes is not part of this media organization https://t.co/edxyzRVlt8— Daniel Coronell (@DCoronell) June 9, 2021
Symone Sanders, senior adviser and chief spokesperson for Harris, thanked Coronell for the timely security breach alert.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are looking into this. https://t.co/5gVsyOoudr— SDS (@SymoneSanders46) June 9, 2021
