A two-week operation to clear the debris of a collapsed building in Miami, Florida continues. Today, local authorities announced the discovery of 10 bodies of people who were in the building at the time of the tragedy.

To date, the total number of victims has reached 46 people.

The finding of 10 new victims was reported by Miami-Dade Assistant Fire Chief Raide Jadallah told family members in a private briefing Wednesday, Fox News says.

The work of rescuers is also complicated by the local climate, or rather Category 1 hurricane Elsa. The forecasts of the authorities and rescuers are not optimistic. Among themselves, rescuers no longer hope to find survivors.

The catastrophe took place on June 24th. More than 130 people are still missing.
