A Tennessee man overdosed with fentanyl allegedly killed his 4-month-old daughter by falling on her.
The incident happened on April 3 in Lebanon. The authorities said the cops were called to a Travel Inn to find an unresponsive baby and her 38-year-old father, Jesse Wayne Craddock, who was disorientated.
Both were transported to Vanderbilt Wilson County Medical Center, unfortunately the girl could not be saved. It was later determined that the cause of death was asphyxiation.
Police took Craddock into custody after finding out that he was in possession of drugs. Police say the man allegedly fell unconscious and fell on his daughter.
The girl’s mother was at work while the father was in care for the child.
Craddock was indicted by a grand jury and charged with first-degree felony murder. He also faces charges of simple possession of a schedule II drug (fentanyl) and aggravated child abuse and neglect.
