Rep. Matt Gaetz and other members of Congress defy Nancy Pelosi's new mask mandate
Rep. Matt Gaetz and other members of Congress opposed Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s forced mask mandate.
Once Biden administration along with CDC released a draconian mandated which forces adult people and schoolchildren wear masks everywhere, not everybody encouraged this measure, including Communication Director Gaetz and other representatives.
The video posted on tweeter shows a moment, Gaetz and various other members of Congress walking through the White House hall not wearing masks, which is an act of defiance against Pelosi’s new anti-COVID rules. North Carolina Representative Madison Cawthorn and Marjorie Taylor Greene could also be seen walking maskless beside Gaetz.
Later, another video appeared showing Gaetz surrounded by a larger group of people also without masks.
Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie slammed the White House and Pelosi particularly claiming that the new rules are arbitrary and has nothing to do with science.

“Her rule is not based on science. All you need to know is the mask rule has only ever applied to members when they can be seen on TV!,” he added.
While the numbers of resistance among Republicans are small, Massie was not entirely alone in this endeavor. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA-14) joined the resistance for normalcy as well, posting a video of herself shredding a warning letter from Nancy Pelosi that threatened penalties for not masking.
Around seven more House Republicans apparently went maskless on the House floor Tuesday. “I can’t hear you with your mask on,” Massie quipped at an unspecified Democratic Rep. who confronted the group…”
