Florida school officials are denied the right to oblige children to wear masks

Following the signing of a new executive order by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the CDC's directive on the mandatory wearing of masks by children has been abolished. Now this right belongs entirely to the parents.

The Executive Order 21-175 explicitly states that children are not at high risk for Covid-19, so CDC guidelines are not applicable in educational institutions.

“Despite recent Centers for Decease Control and Prevention (CDC) “guidance,” forcing students to wear masks lacks well-grounded scientific justification,” the order states. “A Brown University study analyzed COVID-19 data for schools in Florida and found no correlation with mask mandates.”

According to DaSantis, officials have no right to restrict the rights and freedoms of children, so parents themselves will be responsible for all the consequences of their decisions.

“The federal government has no right to tell parents that, in order for their kids to attend school in person, they must be forced to wear a mask all day, every day,” DeSantis declared.

Moreover, the executive order states that wearing masks can lead to negative consequences.

“Masking children may lead to negative health and societal ramifications,” the order reads.

Earlier, the Governor of Florida launched a merchandise sale poking fun at Covid restrictions and the main disgrace of the entire US healthcare system, Anthony Fauci.
