2 minors were shot at “Sweet 16” party in New York
Two teens were shot in a mass brawl at Sweet 16 party on Staten Island late Friday, police said.
According to preliminary information, one of the partygoers was armed and opened fire, wounding one teenager in the chest and another in the right leg.
The injuries are reported to be non-fatal. The victims were taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where they received emergency treatment. Both victims are expected to survive.
The shooter fled the scene of the crime. Police have not yet identified the alleged suspect.
