Tornado will hit 50 Counties of Georgia
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch, covering 50 Counties throughout Georgia. According to weather forecasts, Tropical Storm Fred was about 15 miles south-southwest of Columbus, Georgia, Tuesday morning, with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, the National Hurricane Center.
The Jefferson Fire Department has alerted residents in all counties of an impending natural disaster.
The population is expecting possible floods due to extremely heavy rainfall. Residents are not advised to leave their homes due to heavy winds.
There is a threat of tornadoes across parts of Georgia, the western Carolinas, and southern Virginia through Tuesday, the NHC said.
