US approves defense budget $ 37,5 billion more than last year
The House Armed Services Committee of the United States almost unanimously approved the defense budget for next year.
Despite the end of the war in Afghanistan, which cost the United States more than $ 115 billion annually, for some unknown reason, the budget has grown again.
The US defense budget in 2021 was $ 740.5 billion, up $ 2.5 billion from 2020, but next year will see another record of $ 778 billion.
The Hill pointed out that the agreement was reached after a session that lasted more than 14 hours, with the panel voting 57-2 to further its version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) just after 2:30 am on Thursday.
The Americans criticize this behavior of the committee and the president, first, allowing the loss of weapons worth 85 billion dollars, and then, without much ado, fill the gap.
