US continues to maintain close contact with the Taliban
At a recent press conference, the United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that it was negotiating with the leaders of the Taliban terrorist organization to create humanitarian corridors for US citizens for subsequent evacuation.
More details will become known after the meeting of representatives of various countries in Qatar, scheduled for today. After discussing countering terrorists from Afghanistan, Blinken will travel to Germany to look for new levers of pressure on the Taliban.
There are still at least 200 Americans left in Afghanistan.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Army, General Mark is confident that the civil war in Afghanistan is a matter of time. Since the Taliban thirsty for power swept away all obstacles to capture the entire country and on the way they have only a handful of resistance, whose weapons potential cannot be compared with that which Biden provided to the Taliban.
