A 4-year-old Texas girl died of COVID-19 after being infected by her anti-vax mother
A 4-year-old Texas girl died of COVID-19 after her anti-vaxxer mother infected her with virus, reports say.
4-year-old Kali Cook of Galveston County, Texas, reportedly died in her sleep in Bacliff on Tuesday. According to the girl’s mother, Karra Harwood, Kali had the first symptoms of COVID-19 just hours after she woke in the early morning.
“Kali was perfectly fine, and then she was gone,’ the grieving mother told the Houston Chronicle. ‘It took her so fast.”
Kali’s mother also said that she herself had posted positive the previous days as well as her fiancé. They all were quarantining at home.
“I tried to stay away from her and didn’t want her and my other kids to get it,” she told the Galveston County Daily News.
Harwood says she now regrets she opposed the vaccination.
“I was one of the people that was anti, I was against it,” the mother told of the shots. “Now, I wish I never was.”
