John Brennan Loses Security Clearance; Joe diGenova Cheers
WASHINGTON, DC – August 16, 2018
Former US Attorney from the District of Columbia Joe diGenova called former CIA Chief John Brennan “the worst CIA Director” ever and cheered the news that Brennan had his security clearance revoked.
President Trump on Wednesday revoked the security clearance of John O. Brennan, the former C.I.A. director under President Barack Obama, citing what he called Mr. Brennan’s “erratic” behavior.
On Wednesday night Joe diGenova openly expressed his exuberant agreement with the president's action: This is a glorious moment for the country. An evil man has lost something that he’s not entitled to. John Brennan is the worst CIA Director in the history of this country. He betrayed his country by means of a plot against President Trump, which he was the leader of, involving Comey and Yates and others, Strzok, Page and all the members of the FBI.
The White House had threatened last month to strip Mr. Brennan and two other Obama administration officials — Susan E. Rice, the former national security adviser; and James R. Clapper Jr., the former director of national intelligence — of their security clearances. At the time, Ms. Sanders said that Mr. Trump was considering doing it because “they politicized, and in some cases monetized, their public service and security clearances.”
