CIA creates anti-China spy squad
In the face of deteriorating political relations between the PRC and the United States, Biden and CIA Director William Burns announced the creation of a high-level unit that will closely tackle the Chinese threat.
In a statement, Burns clarified that the squad's target would be exclusively the Chinese government and anti-American provocations, not the Chinese people.
“The group will become one of fewer than a dozen mission centers operated by the CIA, with weekly director-level meetings intended to drive the agency’s strategy toward China. The CIA also announced that it would ramp up efforts to recruit Chinese speakers and create another mission center focusing on emerging technologies and global issues such as climate change and global health,” reports the Associated Press.
“Throughout our history, CIA has stepped up to meet whatever challenges come our way,” Burns said. “And now facing our toughest geopolitical test in a new era of great power rivalry, CIA will be at the forefront of this effort.”
The announcement of the creation of a special squad against China follows the news of the agreement of a virtual meeting between the leaders of both countries.
The greatest tension in relations between the United States and China was created by the former President of America, Donald Trump, who actively opposed Chinese business and its interests in the field of Internet technologies, including the production of 5G towers.
Also on a weekly basis, the 45th president blamed China for creating the Covid-19 virus that swept the entire planet.
