Human Skull Accidentally Found in Washington State
MILL CREEK, WA – August 15, 2018
A mysterious discovery has occurred in a little town in Washington state: a passer-by has found a human skull, local media reports. He called the police at once.
The man appeared to be under the influence of drugs, but he was cooperative, Police Chief Greg Elwin said in a news release Wednesday. The man tried to pinpoint where he had been walking as police and a police dog thoroughly searched the area in an attempt to find any other human remains, city spokeswoman Joni Kirk said.
No other remains were discovered.
“The appearance of the skull indicates that it has been exposed to the elements for a couple of years and may have been carried by an animal,” Elwin said. “Carnivores in the area travel a range of two to three miles, so it is possible that additional remains are not in the area.”
The skull was turned over to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office in hopes of identifying the person.
