Two US Postal Service employees and the suspected gunman killed in Tennessee post office shooting
The FBI is investigating the shooting at Tennessee Postal Service Office that left two employees and the suspected shooter killed.
The shootout took place at the East Lamar Carrier Annex post office of the Orange Mound.
The gunman was reported to die from a self-inflicted injury.
"We are working jointly with the Memphis Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms," the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said.
One of the victims was 37-year-old Demetria Dortch. Another victim was identified as James Wilson.
"Our thoughts are with the family members, friends and coworkers of the individuals involved," the US Postal Service said. "The Postal Service will be providing resources to all employees at the East Lamar Carrier Annex in the coming days and weeks."
