An off-duty NYPD "possessive" officer shoots her ex-gilfriend and kills her new lover police source said
An off-duty NYPD officer found her ex-girlfriend together with another woman and shot them both wounding the ex and killing her new beau.
31-year-old Officer Yvonne Wu of the 72nd Precinct in Brooklyn opened fire at the couple at her ex’s home around 5 p.m. Both victims were shot in the chest.
23-year-old former love, who identified herself as Jenny Li when called 911, is expecting to survive while her new love, 24-year-old Jamie Liang received several gunshot wounds and died, according to the police source.
The off-duty officer was waiting for Li at her and the couple found her sitting on Li’s bed when the couple came home.
When Li called 911 after the shooting, the operator reportedly could her somebody on the background saying “That’s what you get.”
When the officers responded to the call, they found Wu “calm, collected and very forthcoming,” waiting for them outside the home.
“Simply put, she confessed. That’s all I’m going to say,” said Assistant Chief Michael Kemper about what she told the officers.
Both victims and Officer Wu were taken to Maimonides Hospital.
One of Wu’s colleagues described her as “possessive” “psychopath” stalking her ex-girlfriend for months.
