Orlando hospital patient attacked pregnant nurse and killed her fetus
A 53-year-old man unreasonably attacked a nurse in her 8th month of pregnancy. The beating ended only when the orderlies dragged the man away from the victim.

The man was identified as Joseph Wuerz. Several heavy kicks and punches caused irreparable harm to both the mother and her unborn child. Medical screening revealed that the fetus had no heartbeat and would have to induce a premature birth to save the woman's life.
The attack happened Saturday evening in the behavioral unit at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital.

The victim's identity was not disclosed.
Wuerz of Casselberry, was released from the hospital and taken to jail on charges of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, aggravated battery on a medical worker and homicide of an unborn child.
