Polyp removed from Biden's rectum turned out to be benign

187

The White House physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor said that during the colonoscopy of US President Joe Biden, a 3 mm benign polyp was removed and nothing threatens his health.

However, over the next 7-10 years, Biden will have to undergo this procedure again in order to exclude the appearance of cancer.

A polyp "is a benign, slow-growing, but thought to be precancerous lesion" for which no more action is required at this time, the White House physician said in a letter released on Wednesday.

For the duration of the operation, about an hour and a half, the country was ruled by Kamala Harris, the acting Vice President of the United States.

O'Connor also added that Biden was "healthy" and "vigorous," but the US president did not pass the cognitive test.
