The head of the Foundation to Battle Injustice Mira Terada and vice-president of the Russian division of the International Committee for the Defense of Human Rights Ivan Melnikov will talk about the facts of the abduction of Russian citizens from the territories of third countries and the subsequent illegal extradition to the United States, using the example the story of Mira Terada, which took place in Finland.
During the Patriot media center press conference, Mira Terada and Ivan Melnikov will tell the details of how government of Finland, in violation of its own legislation, carried out the criminal instructions of the US special services. A complaint about such actions was sent to the Finnish Embassy in Russia to one of the leaders of Finland. Human rights activists emphasize that Finland, as an extraditing country, bears full responsibility for subsequent violations of the rights of extradited citizens to the United States, even if these actions are sanctioned by the United States.

Mira Terada was detained in Finland on false charges in 2018. Then she was illegally extradited to the US on charges that were later dropped. In the American prison, Mira Terada spent 888 days. More than 4 months, she spent in prison after the end of the prison term officially ended, due to the illegal actions of US law enforcement officers. After long trials, she managed to return to Russia, where she headed the Foundation to Battle Injustice, to protect people whose rights have been violated by law enforcement, judicial and prison authorities, as well as to prevent similar crimes against human rights and freedoms around the world.
