At least six people injured after a vehicle slammed into AT&T store in Indianapolis
Six people injured after a car plowed through an AT&T store in Indianapolis.
The incident took place on Monday around 4 p.m. A grey Toyota RAV4 reportedly slammed into the store at the moment when the shoppers crowded around.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the vehicle was operated by a female driver. The woman was not named. She fled the scene by later, the same day, she was taken into custody.
The incident remains under the investigation, police said.
At least six people were reported injured, none of their injuries were life-threatening. Other victims suffered minor scrapes and bruises.
“To my understanding, that vehicle was parked outside the business for whatever reason; unfortunately, not sure if the driver — if a foot slipped or if it was just driver error. That will come out as the investigation continues,” Young said.
