Hate crime is suspected as a white man shoots and kills a black man during a road rage incident in North Carolina
A white man and his son fatally shot a black man during road rage incident in North Carolina.
51-year-old truck driver Roger Dale Nobles allegedly confronted 32-year-old motorcyclist Stephen Addison on Monday.
The incident began at a stoplight when Noble’s son got out of the vehicle to argue with Addison. His father meanwhile pulled out a shotgun and fired at Addison.
Nobles admitted to killing Addison, who is a father of three. The truck driver was charged with first-degree murder, the outlet reported. Noble has a history of aggressive behavior, according to his neighbors.
He was spotted using racial slurs at one of his black female neighbors.
North Carolina authorities review the incident as a hate crime. The additional charges like hate crime can be pressed.
“If the evidence warrants that type of charge, it’s certainly something we would look at and pursue,” West reportedly said.
“He done drove in my yard and took pictures of me on my porch. He’s shot his gun in the air telling me to turn my music down. I done been through hell with this man,” Shahara Chance reportedly said.
