Florida reports 76,887 new COVID-19 infections which is more than daily record set on December 30

Florida has surpassed the highest daily record of COVID-19 infection ranked at the end of the last year with new latest data, according to which the last number is 76,887.

The CDC released new data Friday showing Florida reported 76,887 COVID infections. On December 30 the record was 75,732 infections.

According to data from the CDC, Florida has verified at least 4,563,163 COVID-19 cases since the start of the outbreak, a figure that doesn’t include at-home tests that aren’t reported to the health department.

Florida Hospital Association says that only 8,062 COVID patients were hospitalized on Thursday. This is an increase of more than 750 from the previous day.
