Florida woman dies after being struck by a train

A woman died after being struck by a train Wednesday morning in Florida.
The incident took place shortly before 4 a.m. near Southeast Fourth Street and South Dixie Highway, Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. When the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to the area, the train had left.
The scene has been cleaned. The east and westbound lanes of Southeast Fourth Street were shut down after the incident.
Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesman Gerdy St. Louis said the incident is being investigated by the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) and Railroad police to find out the circumstances surrounding the incident.
