Actor Michael Madsen’s son committed a suicide while serving in the US army, reports say.

The actor told the outlet he “didn’t see any signs of depression” in his son Hudson suicide. 26-year-old sergeant of the U.S. Army died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Hudson Madsen was stationed in Hawaii and lived in Oahu at the time of his death, the Los Angeles Times reported.

“I am in shock as my son, whom I just spoke with a few days ago, said he was happy - my last text from him was ‘I love you dad,’” Madsen said. “I didn’t see any signs of depression. It’s so tragic and sad. I’m just trying to make sense of everything and understand what happened.”

The 64-year-old star of “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill” asks military to conduct  full investigation in his sons death.

“He had typical life challenges that people have with finances, but he wanted a family,” said Michael Madsen. “He was looking toward his future, so its [sic] mind blowing. I just can’t grasp what happened.”
