Joe Biden announced sanctions against Russia but suggested to "wait and see" if they are working
President Biden announced new sanctions against Russia as its tanks entered Ukraine. Biden pressed on what else he can do to confront Putin saying that the US wait “another months or so” to realize whether the sanctions “are working.”
Biden delivered his speech from the East Room of the White House Thursday in response to Russia’s “special military operation.”
The President of the USA declared that the new restrictions and measures against Putin’s Russia pointing out that they would be “devastating” and would limit the country’s ability to do business in foreign currency like dollar, euros and others.

However, instead of insisting on swift and furious reaction to the Russian’s alleged invasion, the US took “wait-and-see” position.
"Let's have a conversation in another month or so to see if they are working," he said of the current sanctions.
Biden did not provide any sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin himself.
He did not even answer the reporters’ questions. But said he was sure that the sanctions will be as much powerful as the Russian’s “tanks and bullets.”
