Hello one and all listening out there, and welcome to our USA Really daily podcast. It’s been a long weekend, and USA Really has supplied you with all the news and analyses that you need to keep you fresh and up to date on what’s going on in America.

And don’t forget about YOUR chance to win BOATLOADS OF CASH from us in our Global Democracy Award. We’re looking for some creative original material on the theme of the US government’s interference in other countries. If we like your stuff, we just might publish it and toss a few thousand bucks your way! Definitely check out the contest page for more details, and get us your original work by December 1!

And to give you a taste of what we’re looking for, we published a poem today that was submitted for the contest: “Der Drumpt's Wall,” by Luis Lázaro Tijerina. As you might guess from the title, this piece isn’t pulling any punches against Trump and his wall. Here’s the first verse just to give you a taste:

Heil Hitler-style, my American Faux Fuhrer…
You fading blood-star,
derivative Mussolini Poster Boy --
How shall I pose you for posterity?
An updated farce for Hadrian’s Wall—
Vallum Aellum — Jackboot, plastic pedestal,
you consummate stonewaller.
Your static garrisons, concentration camps and NATO ports,
a panorama of perfectly correct fascist salutes
from the banks of the Rio Grande
to the River Tyne.

There’s a lot more in this anti-wall opus, so be sure to give it a read.

What’s that you say? You want to hear more about easy money? Well, have you been banned from Facebook? Or do you have any information on illegal actions from the US government that impose censorship on the internet, particularly social networks? Well, USA Really is looking to file a collective lawsuit against Facebook and is also offering a $5,000 reward if you can send us proof of these illegal actions! Find out more at the page “Zuckerberg Wanted.”

Alright, with those announcements out of the way, let’s get cooking with today’s opinion piece.

Today’s piece is actually another one written by yours truly, and it’s kind of a part 2 to my previous piece on “The Belligerence of the Left.” I hadn’t intended to write a continuation, but the Left just gives so many opportunities. Today’s piece is “The Racism of the Left: Kanye vs. the Pawns.” Liberals love to harp on how Trump and Republics are racists, but anyone with open eyes can see that, actually, it’s the Left that judges everything based on color. Why else do they hate Kanye? He’s a black man who doesn’t fit the mold of what they expect a black man to be. He doesn’t think the way they want a black man to think. That they even have a mold—regardless of what it is—is already racism. Kanye’s latest meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office really set liberal commentators off, and even Kanye’s fellow African Americans, such as Don Lemon, came out in force to hurl racist slurs at him. This is nothing new, but Kanye forces it to be plain in front of our faces. So check out this piece for more of what Democrats are saying about Kanye, and why they are the true party of racism.

As we said, there were a number of good pieces over the weekend, and one of our favorites here at USA Really is always our “This Day in History” piece, or here, “This Weekend in History.” There’s the usual famous battles—this time from the Civil War and World War 2, and the House Un-American Activities Committee launched its investigation of the so-called “Communist infiltration” of the film industry on October 20, 1947. This led to some major stars having to leave the country, including Charlie Chaplin. It’s not too different from today, when all things Russian are considered evil.

But the event that is the most interesting for me is that on October 20, 1977, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s plane crashed on the way to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Man, what a tragedy. What a great band. There is no room for debate here—Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the greatest American bands ever. Of course, everyone knows Sweet Home Alabama and Freebird, but go get their albums—there’re so many gems there that so many people don’t even know about. When I was little I could have told you everything about these guys. Such a great voice was lost in this crash, as lead singer Ronnie Van Zant died, along with guitarist Steve Gaines and his sister and backup singer Cassie Gaines. Long live Southern Rock! Long live Lynyrd Skynyrd!

As for today’s “This Day in History” piece, well, the original Metropolitan Opera House opened this day in 1883, and the smartphone Android market opened this day in 2008, and the Battle of Red Neck in the Philadelphia Campaign of the Revolutionary War was fought this day in 1777. Head on over there for all the details.

And here’s a headline that should surprise no one: “Democrats Play Misogyny Card to Beat Republicans in Minnesota.” If you can’t beat someone, just call then names! With just a little more than two weeks left before the midterm elections, the war of compromising material is underway, and the Democrats have been the first to use it in the political struggle against the Republicans. And Minnesota is a perfect example of this. Democrat Angie Craig and incumbent Republican Jason Mark Lewis are the two candidates for the 2nd District Congressional seat, and the mere fact that a “white conservative male” is running against a “liberal-minded woman” is enough for Democrats to start speculating. Well, I’ll leave it up to your imagination as to what in particular went on here… well, or you could head on over and read the full piece! The wonderful world of politics is always oh so fun!

And here’s another one that’s already bringing shrill shrieks and howls: “Trump Administration May End Legal Recognition For Transgenders.” The Trump administration plans to create a legal definition of gender as a fixed status determined biologically by the genitalia a person is born with, according to the New York Times. The paper said the Department of Health and Human Services is leading the effort to establish a legal definition of sex. The HHS believes that gender should be defined “on a biological basis that is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable.” A person’s gender would be strictly male or female and it would be unchanging. Meanwhile, opponents of such a move argued that the administration does not have the authority to revoke rights that have been recognized several times in federal courts. This one could turn into an all-out war. After all, it’s the current year, doncha know?

Our next one was pretty interesting for me, cause I’ve seen a lot of YouTube videos of this guy, and I find him pretty darn reasonable: “Common Sense Warrior: How Steven Crowder Fights Against Dystopia.” Crowder is a comedian, and sometimes he’s hilarious, although sometimes his attempts at humorous videos fall flat, but dang, he always makes sense and he always brings them facts. He’s like a more lively Ben Shapiro, though Shapiro is certainly the greater intellectual force. This piece also takes you through some changes that are coming, or rather are already here, in the battle versus the Big Tech left. And you’ll find out why USA Really’s slogan is “Wake Up, Americans!” So definitely be sure to give this one a read.

And make sure to go see the film Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer. I talked about this guy back in my piece on abortion. He is just evil. Evil. There’s no way around it. He wasn’t just an abortion doctor, but he killed babies after they were alive, with seemingly no conscience pang about it. And the overall conditions in his office were appalling, and he basically had completely unqualified children working for him. We had a piece over the weekend that goes over the Gosnell story and the film for you, so check that out if you need reassurance that you aren’t the worst person on earth.

And with that we end today’s portion of the news, but let’s take a quick look at tomorrow’s opinion piece, “American Politics in Action – Was Geoff Young Manhandled in a “Protective Reaction” Physical Assault?  You Be the Judge!” by Jeffrey Silverman.  Kentucky and American politics have never been for those who cannot stand the sight of blood, Silverman says. There was a time even walking canes had to be banned in the US Congress. They were used by elected representatives to beat one another over the head. Well, in the incident Silverman talks about today, no one was beat, but it seems pretty clear that Geoff Young was assaulted, all because he tried to silently hold a protest sign as Amy McGrath, a retired marine, spoke as part of her campaign for Kentucky’s 6th congressional district. Young was already on their radar, and basically people were waiting for him. And the cops weren’t any help later, as seems to be too often the case. Anyways, check out Silverman’s piece tomorrow for the whole infuriating story.

And with that tasty little nugget, we’re going to head out. As always, thanks for listening, thanks for reading, and keep it right here for all the news you need to know.
