This Package Is Just a Blast! Who Really Wants to Blow Up America Before the Elections?

WASHINGTON DC — October 27, 2018

Between October 22 and 25, multiple suspicious packages were received at several locations in New York, Washington, D.C., and Florida.

According to the latest reports, Federal authorities arrested a person on Friday in connection with a dozen parcel bombs sent to Democratic politicians and high-profile critics of President Donald Trump, the Justice Department said.

The suspect was identified as Cesar Sayoc, 56. He has an Aventura, Florida, address, and was arrested at a business in Plantation, about 20 miles away in South Florida. He also has a criminal history and ties to New York, the sources added.

The arrest occurred in south Florida and he was taken into custody in the Miami area, a law enforcement official said. No one had initially claimed responsibility for the parcel bombs, which were denounced by authorities as terrorism and came less than two weeks before the  congressional elections that could alter the balance of power in Washington.

The final parcel was sent on Wednesday to the former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. The remaining 11 were received by:

CNN editorial offices

Hungarian-American Investor George Soros

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

Former President Barack Obama

Former CIA Director John Brennan, c/o CNN

Former Attorney General Eric Holder

(The package addressed to former Attorney General Holder did not reach its intended destination, but was rerouted to the return address in Florida.)

Senator from New Jersey Cory Booker

In addition, according to CNN, a suspicious package intended for California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters was also intercepted at a congressional mail screening facility in Maryland.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he also received a "device" at his office in Manhattan

Former Vice President Joe Biden

And the situation gets even worse: Robert De Niro’s New York restaurant was forced to evacuate on Wednesday due to reports of a suspicious package with a bomb.

One of the first to respond to the suspicious parcels was Hillary Clinton.

"Every day we are grateful for their commitment, and obviously never more than today, but it is a troubling time isn't it? And it’s a time of deep divisions, and we have to do everything we can to bring our country together," Clinton said, speaking at a campaign event in Florida for Congressional candidate Donna Shalala, a former cabinet official under President Bill Clinton.

"We are fine thanks to the men and women of the Secret Service who intercepted the package addressed to us long before it made our way to our home," she added.

Former CIA Director John Brennan, whose name was on the package sent to CNN's New York headquarters, described the news of the past few days as "a very unfortunate state of our national history."

"This country was founded upon the foundation of freedom and liberty and freedom of speech, and if I and others are being targeted because we're speaking out and we're living up to our responsibilities as citizens, I think that, again, is a very unfortunate turn of events," he said.

For the most part, Brennan blamed President Trump for his inability to control the situation in his country.

"Unfortunately, I think Trump, too often, has helped to incite some of these feelings of anger, if not violence, when he points to acts of violence or also talks about, you know, swinging at somebody from the press or the media," he said.

Trump responded quite briefly, saying the country's leaders must "come together" to speak out against threats of political violence.

"I just want to tell you that in these times, we have to unify," Trump said. "We have to come together and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that threats or acts of political violence have no place in the United States of America."

"It's a very bipartisan statement," he added. "This egregious conduct is abhorrent to everything we hold dear and sacred as Americans."

The President spoke from a teleprompter but added himself at the end:

"We are extremely angry, upset, unhappy about what we witnessed this morning, and we will get to the bottom of it," Trump said.

Returning to the previous mailings, New York Police conducted an evacuation two days ago after a report of a suspicious package in the Time Warner shops where CNN is located. At the same time, police in Washington conducted another evacuation of American WMAL employees due to another suspicious package.

Another was also found at the post office in New York yesterday.

John Miller, the New York Police Department Commissioner of Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism, spoke at a news conference about that suspicious package.

He said the bomb squad used equipment to conduct an X-ray of the package. Authorities saw "what appears to be a pipe bomb consistent with other devices we’ve seen this week contained in a package."

Suspicious packages with possible explosive devices arrive in two states in parallel, and neither the police nor the FBI can prevent this.

Several more explosive devices were sent to New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker and James Clapper yesterday.

Now back to the beginning of the conversation. Multiple several life-threatening explosive devices were sent to various politicians, statesmen, and journalists on the eve of the midterm elections.

Isn’t that strange?

According to the latest news, the Department of Justice just confirmed that a suspect has been taken custody.

You can talk a lot about the mistakes in the security system, the poor quality of the FBI and police work, but that’s no solution to the prolem. Let's try to understand the real causes of this situation.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo openly stated that the U.S. is now at a boiling point politically. In particular, he believes the suspicious packages sent to CNN and Democratic political figures were politically motivated.

"I think this is a warning to all politicians, candidates for elections and Americans. We may have political differences, they have always been. That's what makes America America," he said.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio also said, "This is absolutely terrorism. Using violence to make a political impact." But he adds, in the characteristic upbeat tone adopted by civic leaders in tense times such as these: “The people in New York City are as tough as it gets."

Needless to say, the big politicians will say that this is connected with terrorism and the upcoming elections, on the eve of which the political forces are trying to declare an unspoken war on each other. In this case, it is about Democrats.

We cannot but agree. There is some truth in these judgments, but then the question remains: Does it make sense for Democrats to spoil their reputation, turning not only opponents but the entire American people against them? Hardly.

Recall that National Security Adviser John Bolton recently stressed that he sees no threat to the upcoming midterm elections, during his short stay in Moscow on October 23.

"As you know, we are closely monitoring the situation, FBI Director Chris Ray said that now they do not see actions comparable to 2016, but you understand, everything can change at the touch of a button. President Donald Trump told the FBI to provide him with information on the election and possible interference within 45 days," Bolton said during his Moscow press conference.

It seems that in this, Mr. Bolton was grossly mistaken, because the FBI was unable to monitor the situation and missed the sending of 12 bombs throughout America.

There is another widespread view, that the entire thing is a fake — that no bombs were sent.

For example, Lou Dobbs, a Trump-friendly Fox Business Network host, has joined in the online speculation that the bombs could have been a hoax.

This could be supported by the fact that none of the alleged bombs even detonated, raising question about the sender’s motives. Authorities have noted that this remains a key question.

And why not? This theory deserves space among the others. But let’s take a look at which are more realistic and more of a priority to look into.

We've already talked about the situation with the Democrats, and the theory that they sent the packages is the least likely, at least because of the risk of losing support among the people.

Another more possible theory could be that the Republicans came up with this whole story to eliminate opponents in the upcoming elections, to create an image of state defenders who managed to prevent a terrorist act, and to once again prove its power to the world. This sounds more convincing.

Finally, there’s another very convincing theory: that the ruling political groups are fighting among themselves and this is the result of their war. But overall, this theory is directly connected with that described above. We've written about the war of political elites numerous times. No one denies that there will be a great battle that will make plain what is true and what is false.

Take the words of the founder of the Schiller Institute Mrs. Helga Zepp-LaRouche during her own recent conference in Moscow.

According to her view, Bolton does not express the interests of Trump, but of the elite groups opposing him.

There is a war of the largest political systems going on—a war of globalists. And now we see that they are losing their control, and it requires much effort to remain in power. In particular, we are talking about Donald Trump, who won the last presidential election.

That is, in fact, today it is impossible to trust someone alone because it is not known to what real party or force he belongs or whose interests these high-ranking negotiators will protect.

Globalists see this as a threat to their position, LaRouche said, and are ready to make any effort to retain power. There is no crime that they would not commit for this.

"They (the fed) are ready to start a global economic crisis that will throw nearly the entire population of the U.S. and Europe below the poverty line. They could provoke a global world war that could destroy 9/10 of all mankind, only to reset Trump and give his place in the Capitol to someone like Hillary Clinton," she added.

Today, knowing the real situation, we can with almost full confidence say that the most likely reason for such shocking events is precisely the war of political forces, and in fact it does not matter who is behind these or other actions, whether in the form of explosive devices or the secret publication of negative messages about Trump.

And finally, let's look at the third, least likely theory, that this is about and Russia and its secret meddling in the US election. In this regard, it is only worth mentioning again Bolton's words, that he does not see a threat of external interference.
