Europe Wants to See US as Important Gas Supplier to EU
BRUSSELS – December 3, 2018
According to materials obtained from the Transatlantic Economic Council, the EU wants to see the US as an important supplier of liquefied natural gas to Europe.
Analysts note that a number of US LNG supply projects for European operators are already under consideration in the EU. Another 20 LNG terminals are being developed for the 28 existing in Europe. Even today, EU countries can take up to 109 million tons of liquefied gas.
The United States plans to increase supplies to 140 million tons per year by 2035 and become a world leader in LNG exports.
