CHEYENNE, WY – June 3, 2018

A Large, strong tornado passed 24 kilometers north-west of Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming, on May 27 completely destroying many buildings in the area. Thankfully there were no injuries reported in the nearby town.

A well-known American meteorologist and tornado hunter Reed Timmer filmed this from the cab of a rented car. He managed to capture dramatic footage of the atmospheric vortex as it sucked cows and other debris into the air. Later, as the tornado began to move toward the meteorologist's car, he was forced to leave the area and continue his research from a safer vantage point.

According to Timmer, this was the third or fourth tornado produced by this storm, will more likely to be on their way. Because of a flat tire, the author of the video had to flee to the safety of a nearby overpass as hail, and driving winds beat over the car and cracked its windshield.
