Former Director of National Intelligence Starts Talking: Obama Ordered Russia Probe

WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 2, 2019

James Clapper, President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, says Obama ordered an operation that led to the years-long Russia probe.

Clapper appears to admit that the Russia probe was initiated by none other than Obama himself. In a recent CNN interview, Clapper discussed the findings of Special Counsel Robert Mueller who found no collusion between Russians and President Trump.

“Jim Comey and I were part of the group that were tasked by President Obama to put together all reporting we had on the Russian interference,” Clapper confirmed.

He suggested he knew there was no collision as early as March 2017, but that didn't stop the mainstream media from spinning false collusion narratives.

Clapper essentially affirmed Obama is responsible for the claims of Trump-Russia collusion that have roiled Washington for two years but were debunked by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

“If it weren’t for President Obama, we might not have done the intelligence community assessment that we did that set off a whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today, notably, Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation,” Clapper said.

“And I consistently said we didn't have the evidence at the time contemporaneously and was my great hope that the Mueller investigation would resolve that once and for all and apparently it did.”

This is not the first time Clapper has made controversial remarks about the alleged use of National Intelligence for political purposes. In his Senate testimony back in 2013, he said the government does not collect data on millions of Americans as part of its foreign intelligence surveillance program. Those claims were later proven untrue by Congress Republicans.

“Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?” “No sir. It does not? Not wittingly.” When the truth came out, Clapper claimed he didn't understand the question. Meanwhile Republican lawmakers say the abuse of the FISA court by Obama officials allowed the spying on Carter Page, a key aide to the 2016 Trump campaign. The FISA warrants along with the debunked Steele Dossier laid the foundation of what would become the Russia probe

“The Russia witch-hunt was a plan by those who lost the election to try and illegally regain power by framing innocent Americans, many of them. They suffered with an elaborate hoax.”

Speaking of the Steele Dossier, Clapper had something to do with the Democrat-funded opposition research as well. Reports claim the House Intel Committee found that Clapper leaked the dossier to CNN during the transition period of late 2016-early 2017. The efforts became known as a Democrat insurance policy, which Republicans now want investigated.

A key line of inquiry is the story surrounding the dossier of unverified, anti-Trump “dirt” funded by the Clinton campaign and the DNC. The document, the House intel panel found, was used by the Obama Justice Department and FBI to obtain warrants to spy on the Trump campaign.

Worse, Mueller knew there was no collusion as early as within 6 months of being commissioned for the probe. Yet he delayed his findings for another year and a half until after the November election to ensure the phony collusion accusations benefited the Democrats.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., has called for a Special Counsel to look into the origins of the collusion allegations.

“Mr. Mueller thoroughly investigated the Trump campaign. You cannot say that about the other side of the story. And what I hope Mr. Barr will do is understand for the country's sake and appoint somebody outside the current system to look into these allegations,” Graham told OANN.

President Trump and his attorney Rudy Giuliani agree: The early stages of the Russia probe must be looked into. But recent revelations suggest the debunked Russia hoax appears to be the greatest political swindle in US history.

While Mueller concluded the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia, the House Intelligence Committee and investigative reporters have turned up evidence of collusion between the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic National Committee to prevent Trump from winning, he emphasized.

Thus, USA Really was absolutely right, when we wrote yesterday about the strong Obama-Mueller connection when we talk about the fruitless “Russian interference” investigation. Now here comes solid evidence.
