New Mexico Fears the Emergence of a New Volcano
NEW MEXICO – June 13, 2018
An eruption of gas, boiling water and smoke, emerging from the ground in New Mexico, has sparked fears that a new volcano is brewing beneath the feet of people living in New Mexico.
Scientists believe that the cause of the eruption was geothermal activity from an underground swamp. Still, despite assurances from specialists that a new volcano is not likely to form, residents remain skeptical.
Some bloggers and independent experts claim it’s unlikely as the area of New Mexico involved, is mostly the desert. Possibly it marks some tectonic activity deep beneath the earth's surface and means that a new volcano is emerging or an old one is awakening.
So far, no official statements have been received from the authorities on this matter.
