"We Are Fundamentally Changing A Nature of the Healthcare Market Place". Trump Signs Executive Order Of Healthcare Price Transparency
President Donald Trump ordered the Department of Health and Human Services to require hospitals to publicly disclose the cost of healthcare services on Monday.
During the meeting in the White House Donald Trump said:
"We believe that American people have a right to know the price if services before they go to visit the doctor. In a few moments I'll be signing a breakthrough executive order, it will create an unprecedented transparency about the healthcare prices and provide this information for the american people for the first time ever"
He also undrelined that "people knew that it should have been done years ago but they've never got it done. I winder why."
The order given by Trump to the hospitals would allow patients to make better choices about their health care and better understand out-of-pocket costs.
Trump said his order would force hospitals to offer more information to patients about the services that they were paying for so they could search out a better doctor.
“Some rich people may not be too happy about that,” he said.
Two doctors present who spoke at the event agreed that Trump’s decision would help their patients make more informed choices about their care, or else they risk not being treated because of unknown costs.
Trump again warned about Democrats like Sen. Bernie Sanders who wanted to bring socialized medicine into the United States.
He said that his efforts on health care would be the "opposire" of Obamacare as he continue to improve the system.
