Suffolk: Two two-year-old twin girls killed by their own mother
According to the Suffolk Police, 24-year-old woman, Tenia Campbell, is accused of killing two of her children. According to eyewitnesses, the woman threatened to kill the girls, and a few hours later, Tenia Campbell was detained at Montauk County Park, children showed no signs of life. There were no obvious signs of injuries on the bodies of the victims, they were taken to Stony Brook Southhampton Hospital, where their deaths were confirmed.
The grandmother of the dead children approached the rescue service at about 2:30 pm.
“Suffolk County Police Department, assisted by the New York State Police, Suffolk County Park Rangers, Southampton Town Police and the East Hampton Town Police conducted a massive, county wide search for her,” Suffolk police said in a statement.
“They were just your typical little girls — playful happy,” neighbors reported.
Campbell was charged with two counts of second-degree murder. On Friday, she will be arraigned in East Hampton Town Justice Court.
