Woman’s Body Found in Freezer after Husband’s Suicide
WEST FORK, ARKANSAS — June 16, 2018
A woman’s body was found in a freezer at her home after a quarrel with her husband in Arkansas.
According to police, the man Lawrence Bruick also committed suicide.
It happened when neighbors called police saying they had heard screams and crashing. West Fork police responded to the residence in question, but the door was not opened. They returned the next day on Friday evening to try and make contact. Officers said they could see items in the home while looking through windows that led them to believe Lori Bruick was still in the house.
They entered the home and found evidence of a quarrel inside the garage. While searching, they found the body of Lori Bruick inside a freezer in the kitchen.
They also found male clothing inside the home with blood on it. Several letters were also found showing Lawrence Bruick’s “mental state” and indicating that he had been having suicidal thoughts. A preliminary autopsy report from the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office showed that Lori Bruick died of blunt force trauma.
