California: Police killed a 17-year-old unarmed girl

Anaheim, California, on July 5, 2019 - the incident occurred at about 7 pm, on the freeway.
"A female suspect was struck by gunfire and was transported to a local hospital where she later died," Anaheim police said.

None of the police officers was injured during the incident. According to the police, the girl had a gun that was refuted by Rev. Jarrett Maupin spokesman for the family, told NBC News. He said that she was unarmed and had only a telephone.
"We know she was unarmed," Maupin said.
According to the additional details of the incident, before the shooting began, the officer was in a minor accident. Police are already leading the investigation.
"The freeway was packed and all potential witnesses need to be interviewed first. We cannot risk influencing someone's statement, by releasing details prematurely," the department tweeted.
“We want to know why police felt the need to shoot and kill a 17 year old unarmed teen girl," her father, Benson Williams, said in a statement.
