IRC reckless security guard threatened with gun to black police officer
Toledo - in May of this year, the security guard Seth Eklund, in the tax service office, pointed a firearm at the black deputy sheriff Alan Gaston, the officer at the time was in service and in official uniform.
Security cameras recorded conflict. The video clearly shows how a policeman enters the room, a conversation is started between them, from which it follows, an order from the guard that the weapon must be removed. Gaston asked for a place to store weapons, received in response that there was no such thing, then he made a decision and informed the aggressive Seth Eklund that he would put the gun in the car. This infuriated the guard, he bared his weapon and began to pursue the officer.
With 35 years of experience in law enforcement and dealing with criminals, Alan Gaston tried to resolve the conflict peacefully, without provoking Eklund.
According to Alan Gaston, "This security officer was poorly trained, he was undoubtedly not qualified for the position he held."
The deputy sheriff associates this attack with the inexperience of the guard, as well as with the manifestation of racism.
Alan Gaston sued and demands 25 thousand dollars compensation.
