“What goes around comes around”: Immigrant rights activist killed by illegal immigrant
Sean Buchanan last week died in a car accident on his motor cycle, colliding with an illegal immigrant Miguel Ramirez Valiente, who did not have the right to drive a car.
It is reported that Miguel Ramirez Valiente is one of many Mexican refugees who fled from violence and danger in El Salvador. From his January public statement, it became known that he had joined the All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church in search of salvation from deportation, as his asylum request was rejected.
According to him, after the announcement of Donald Trump about the impending raids, Valiente wanted to take refuge in the church, since they still retained the right to shelter illegal immigrants.
According to police reports, Miguel Ramirez Valiente systematically broke the law, in 2011 he was detained for criminal negligence, in 2016 for domestic violence and the last point was the murder of an activist, refugee rights activist Sean Buchanan. Close acquaintances of the killer describe him as an alcoholic and an abuser.
On the other hand, Sean Buchanan was a staunch opponent of the current president in terms of his immigration policy, calling him a "racist" and even compared him to Hitler.
I used to think that #racism and ignorance on this scale would just die off with older generations, but as @GeorgeTakei points out - it continues to be handed down. #notdone #resist #freethekids https://t.co/Q2ZzEwERqv— Sean Buchanan (@sabuchanan7) September 23, 2018
