War not only against illegal immigration but also against legal: Trump wants to cancel birthright citizenship
President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that measures to limit immigration are moving to a new stage. According to him, obtaining the status of a US citizen "just because he was born in the United States" - "is ridiculous."
The US Constitution has always been a fundamental document, which was guided by all who arrived in the United States. Under Amendment 14, all blacks born in the United States must obtain citizenship and have the appropriate rights. But understanding of this point has distorted over time, and most newborn immigrants receive resident status regardless of the citizenship of their parents.
Although the courts prohibit the abolition of citizenship by birth, Trump's anti-immigration policy is the main focus of his election campaign and therefore his administration is closely looking for all possible ways to limit immigrants.
