An activist fighting racism for 30 years has been named ‘White Supremacist’
Daryl Davis, 61, took part in a conference in Philadelphia. Discussion topics included the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and violence. At the same time, a gang of anti-fascists was formed on the street in front of the building accusing the organizers of racism. Later, threats of violence followed, and even the threat of burning the building in which the meeting took place.
Despite this, everything went well. The dialogue between the "enemy camps" was established and Davis and representatives of various walks of life celebrated the end of the conference.
The crowd of protesting anti-fascists did not calming. About 40 people were held back by law enforcement. Even then, Daryl Davis invited them all to attend the event, but there was a refusal and some of the antifa representatives shouted to Davis, “You're White Supremacist,” which caused a flurry of laughter.
“The Antifa people called me a White Supremacist. What??? Are you kidding me??? Wow!!! They called me White Supremacist. Now, I KNOW I’ve heard it all. It’s good to be colorbling, but this is ridiculous!!!” Daryl Davis wrote in his post on Facebook.
These “insults” from the side of the antifa were provoked by comparing the “antifa” and “KKK”. According to Davis, their way of resisting is very similar, they are all trying to solve by force, without even trying to start negotiations. Also, the black White Supremacist drew attention to the fact that the anti-fascist clothes are the same as those of the KKK.
“Antifa is now the one wearing the bandanas across their face or the masks.” Just like the KKK put on hoods so that no one could identify racists.
Daryl Davis in his post on Facebook also told what other curses he called during his activities.
“I have been called nigger, a porch monkey, a pavement ape, by racists, an Uncle Tom, an Uncle Ruckus, an Oreo, a race traitor, a sellout, both the pimp and a prostitute. I’ve been just about called every name but my own name.”
