An arsenal capable of arming a small army was discovered in the house of an elderly Vietnam veteran
Lower Gwynedd Township - relatives helping an elderly couple at home, having discovered a galore of ammunition, turned to the police.
On September 5, Lower Gwynedd police drove to the address to find out the details. They expected to see a couple of unregistered rifles, but met a huge number of collection guns, mines and other dangerous types of explosives.
They also reported to other emergency departments, including the FBI, ATF and Department of Defense.
According to police testimony, for several hours, employees of all departments cleared the house of weapons. The sappers carefully carried out the shells and rendered them harmless. Several dozen rifles were seized. Also, more than 3 dozen boxes of other ammunition were taken out of the house.
Many neighbors and eyewitnesses breathed a sigh of relief when they learned that such a dangerous arsenal had been removed. The neighbors also noted the strange character of the veteran, many said that he behaved strangely and alienated. Some were even afraid of him, especially the children. Today, law enforcement agencies are not going to bring charges.
