The police broke into the house of an minor innocent teenager without a warrant and began to choke him
A striking case of the permissiveness and impunity of police officers occurred in Carpentersville, Illinois. A surveillance camera installed in the house captured footage of police officers illegally entering the house in which, at that moment, there was only a 16-year-old boy.
According to the police themselves, they were looking for the missing girl. According to the testimony, the last place where they saw the missing girl was the housing of the boy. According to the victim of the assault of police officers, he called her a taxi and no longer saw her.
It is reported that the day before the illegal entry, police were already searching the house. Not for the first or second time the parents of a 16-year-old guy were not present during the searches.
The footage captured by the home camera shows how the officer opened the door with his own hand and then said “Your door’s open”.
The minor boy immediately responded and told the officers that he did not want them to enter the house in the absence of his parents. This did not suit the policemen, and they literally burst into the room, simultaneously demolishing the furniture and grabbing the frightened tenant.
The first thing the second officer did was go up to the second floor, while the first was holding the teenager by the neck, pressing him to the sofa.
“I did get scared, because I never expected something like this could happen to me,” the boy told ABC7Chicago in an interview.
After this incident, the family intends to sue the police. To date, the names of all parties to the conflict have not been disclosed. But it is known for certain that law enforcement officials did not have a warrant and no other authority to enter this house.
“It was an illegal search of this home. It was an illegal seizure of that minor, and ultimately it was a false arrest,” Keenan Saulter, the family’s attorney, told ABC7 Chicago.
At the moment, an investigation is underway for unlawful entry and the legality of the actions of the accused officers in the search for the missing girl.
