Woman and two minors who cut the hind legs of a dog were arrested
Slidell Police officers, Louisiana faced inhumane behavior against a paralyzed dog named Buddy. The investigation revealed that a 50-year-old mother and her daughter lied when they talked about the cause of the “disappearance” of the hind limbs of a pet.
Police officers arriving at a call to the trailer park saw an injured dog. Interrogating the dog’s owners, the 17-year-old daughter said that because of the too tight bandage after the bullet wound, the pet’s hind legs “just fell off”. Such a story seemed strange to the officers, and they turned to a qualified veterinarian.
The specialist said that Buddy was not operated on and his paws “did not fall off on their own,” it was an intentional mutilation of the animal.
It is reported that during additional interrogations, St. Tammany officers found out that last year the dog received a bullet wound, which paralyzed him. Having been refused a free treatment for their pet, the family, whose names are not disclosed, “resolved the issue” in a radical way.
It is reported that three people were arrested on charges of animal cruelty. The woman was also barred from leaving the city, and her daughter was placed into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. The 17-year-old boyfriend was also arrested, but was later released.
