LINCOLN – July 5, 2018

The headquarters the Republican Party in the capital city of Nebraska was vandalized by  hooligans who smashed the front window's of the building with bricks. The incident occurred at 3 a.m. local time and did no less than $ 1200 damage.

The attack seems to be related to the anti-ICE movement, as one of the vandals also left graffiti on the wall of the office, stating “Abolish ICE”.

Lincoln police are still canvassing the area for witnesses. Representatives of the Democratic Party have condemned the act of vandalism.

“I think it’s a terrifying place that our country is in right now, where people are resorting to violence, vandalism and death threats to political leaders, staff members and candidates,” said Jane Kleeb, chairwoman of the Nebraska Democratic Party. “And it’s happening to all of us.”
