Anti-fascist group will go against Virginia Democrats to defend the legal right for firearm
A year later, when Virginia turned blue, many public organizations sounded the alarm, fearing that the praised democracy would destroy the Americans' right to own firearms.
To the right-wing organizations such as the NRA, Gun Owners of America, and the Second Amendment Foundation will join, formerly branded as “an internal terrorist organization, Antifa Seven Hills, Vice reports.
“I think it’s been pretty important for us to focus on the fact that gun control in America has a legacy of racist enforcement,” said Antifa Seven Hills spokesperson James (who asked that his name be withheld to avoid getting doxxed online). “Like taking guns away from black people, because black people were perceived as a threat to property and the sanctity of the state.”
An anti-gun banning protest is slated for Monday in Richmond. At the time of the rally, the defenders of the second amendment and members of the antifa will not pay attention to the differences in the political views of each other, but instead will concentrate on confronting the Democratic legislators.
“This is our fight as much as anyone else’s,” James, who identifies as an anarchist, added. “It’s our state, and we are left largely out of the debate. The presence of an armed left is not discussed, it’s not understood.”
It is reported that local authorities fear armed conflicts and therefore, Governor Ralph Northam announced on Wednesday a temporary ban on the carrying of firearms by protesters. Law enforcement authorities reserved the right to be armed in the Capitol, where the rally will take place.
