Brad Pitt scoff at impeachment in his speech at the Oscars
Brad Pitt, received the highest award for acting achievements. During his short speech, Pitt could not resist not kicking the trial of the impeachment of US President Donald Trump.
“They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week,” he said on stage. “I’m thinking maybe Quentin does a movie about it — in the end, the adults do the right thing.”
According to Variety, Pitt also added a few words already behind the scenes.
“I was really disappointed with this week,” he said. “I think when gamesmanship trumps doing the right thing, it’s a sad day, and I don’t think we should let it slide. I’m very serious about that.”
For the first time, Brad Pitt won an Oscar for acting in his entire career. Previously, Pitt received the figurine only for producing the film “12 Years a Slave” in 2014.
