Shocking video of students flinging around inside the Ohio school bus that crashed on December last year
The video from inside of the school bus that overturned in Thornville, Ohio on December 19 showing the student flinging around the vehicle, appeared.
It happened when another vehicle, a Ford Mustang ran a red light signal and crashed into the side of the Northern Local School District bus. At the moment of the accident there were 30 high school students inside the bus. When the collision happened the bus was spun around then flipped on its right side, and slipped off the road.
The thrilling video shows all 30 students sitting calmly in their seats before the moment of an impact. And the seconds after the Mustangs runs into the bus, the children are seen violently flung around the compartment and hit the roof of the bus. Then they fall on each other in the seats of the right side.
The bus driver can be heard shouting "is everybody OK" over the screaming kids and told them to get out through the emergency windows and doors. It took a couple of minutes for the students to untangle themselves and exit the bus, with many of the students climbing out of the escape hatch on the top of the bus.
Eight students and the driver were taking to the hospital with no life-threatening injuries.
According to the crash report, the driver of Mustang suffered the broken back. Once an investigation is completed, all information will be sent to the Perry County Prosecutor's Office for review, the report said.
