A former New York police officer was attacked by a woman at a Tennessee bar while celebrating his birthday for he was wearing a Trump-style cap with “Make Fifty Great Again” writing on it.
Daniel Sprague of Staten Island was at the bar in Nashville with his wife celebrating his 50th jubilee when the incident happened. That day he had a hat that said “Make Fifty Great Again” and a T-shirt saying “Making America Great since 1970” on him.
And all of the sudden a woman appeared from behind of him, spun him around and punched him in the face. Then she grabbed the hat off his head yelling “How dare you!”
After that the woman fled.
“I would assume that she had a ring or she maybe even had a set of keys or something to get it,” he explained a cut on his face, “because it is pretty deep and it goes to the bone.
"People have different views, but we're not supposed to take it out on each other," Sprague said.
Sprague said that not everybody reacted to his outfit the way that crazy woman did. He said, prior to that some people would come to him with to praise the witty word play on his hat and wish him happy birthday. Some of bar patrons even took pictures with him.
Sprague said he filed a report with Nashville police and was awaiting word about their investigation.
